This weekend has been a busy one. Weeding, planting prepping.
The peas are growing and have not yet been eaten by rabbits.
The greenhouse is not exactly full. But there are my seedlings and the herbs we bought from the market downtown.
All potatoes are planted. This year I am going for peat moss and straw. It was so difficult to dig the potatoes out of the soil last year, I am hoping this will bring similar results for much less effort.
Six leeks have been planted. They were not as big as I had hoped they would be, but they were a disaster last year, and already it looks like an improvement.
And finally the garlic. Seems to be doing well. The soft neck garlic seems to be smaller than the hard neck. Thicker necks. Not sure if this is important to soft neck garlic as it seems to be to hard neck garlic. 200 plus carrots of different varieties planted today….Phew…..
